Without giving too much away, the way in which it’s revealed to you is probably the most spine-tingling moment you’ll experience in all of your Orlando visit. There’s a cafeteria here, and look around for retired engineers and astronauts who are often on hand to answer questions.Īfter that, hasten back via the bus to the Visitor Complex for the grand finale: The $100-million home of the space shuttle Atlantis. The presentation in the Lunar Theatre, which recounts the big touchdown, is well produced and even includes a video appearance by the late, reclusive Neil Armstrong. Don’t overlook the chance to reach into a case to touch a small moon rock, which looks like polished metal. long, or the equivalent of 30 stories)-but the new SLS rockets are even bigger. The adjoining hangar contains a Saturn V rocket, which is larger than you can imagine (363 ft. The main bus stop, the Apollo/Saturn V Center, is themed “Race to the Moon” and begins with a mandatory 5-minute film and then a full-scale mock-up of the “firing room” in the throes of commanding Apollo 8’s launch, in all its window-rattling, fire-lit drama-to skip that 30-minute show and get to the good stuff, pass through. It’s just one story tall, but it’s a doozy: The Statue of Liberty could fit through those doors with 200 feet left over. You’ll buzz past eagles’ nests, alligator-rich canals, pads now leased by private space-mission contractors SpaceX and Boeing, and the confoundingly titanic Vehicle Assembly Building, or VAB, where the shuttle-which NASA folk call “the orbiter”-was readied. You’ll see the launch sites used by the shuttle and by the Apollo moon shots, and you’ll receive an intelligent explanation of the preparation that went into each shuttle launch. Combined with the nature reserve around it, the area (which guides tell visitors is one-fifth the size of Rhode Island and is home to 16 bald eagle nests) is huge but you’ll be making one stop not too far away. On that tour, coaches with live on-board narration zip you around NASA’s tightly secured compound. Be warned that the last buses don’t leave you enough time to browse. Unless there’s an Astronaut Encounter going on-that’s an hour-long presentation in which an actual astronaut talks about his or her experience and answers questions-proceed instantly to the can’t-miss Behind the Gates bus tour, which leaves every 15 minutes until about 2:15pm, and takes most people around 3 hours. At the main Visitor Complex, many people are waylaid by the retired rockets, IMAX films, and simulators, but that’s not the best stuff-do them at the end of the day if you have time. For optimal touring, you really should drive yourself and start at opening time. KSC is on the Space Coast about an hour east of Orlando, and it’s worth the trip.

Yeah flank control is important, but if it sacrifices your team's control of a site in favor of controlling an area no one wants to contest, then flank control is just as less useful as constantly playing for lineups. Also, what grinds my gears, aside from baiting duelists who don't help clear the site (and lineup larrys who only verbally direct people on where to plant), are players who insist on waiting for a flank, even if the flanks would never come anyway. Of course, there is no exact science when it comes to who should be planting (tho agent-map tier lists help), but playing for ult will always be a win condition, even if you are playing 5 duelists. If your team's win condition dictates that you have to gather as many ult points as you can, you plant the spike. if you are one/two points away from your ult, you might want to volunteer planting, unless you are a duelist or a Cypher). It's just a matter of who HAS to plant the spike at a certain moment (e.g. IMO post-plant monsters like KJ and agents with guaranteed high-impact ults like Sage should hold the spike. It’s really frustrating when people don’t step up to bomb plant though tbh so I would just do it and take advantage of the free ult point every round. Brim I could see carrying instead of you because his ult is IMBA post-plant and even pre-plant on a couple of maps. Omen ult is fucking useless mostly so Kj should definitely plant for ult point over omen if possible. And then there is sage - she should pretty much always plant over KJ since her ult is more valuable and she doesn’t have to worry about any of the shit you mentioned.ĭoes that make sense? So basically for most comps it’s tied between you and the controller on your team. You tie with most controllers for bomb carry with the exception of viper, usually viper should be carrying over you unless there is a Sage on the team. The people you should be bomb carrying over include: all duelists, all initiators, and chamber. Sometimes I force someone else to as a sentinel because I want to be in a better position to post plant than what my teammates would do while I’m planting.ĭude, it totally depends on the team composition, but there absolutely is a time and place to step up as KJ to bomb carry, especially since your ult is pretty good. With that being said though, it’s hard when you’re the only one doing anything to prevent a retake and your team wants you to plant. If you’re afraid of not getting your util down, learn lineups to throw from main onto default and then throw one onto the spike as you’re running to plant. With killjoy, I actually think you can have your turret out, alarmbot watching flank, and molly ct while being able to plant. Omen is another good planter because he can smoke, blind out, trade his entry and then tp onto default plant and then tp out without having to risk dying in between. Viper could plant because she can wall orb molly and then plant without skipping a beat (it’s also good for viper to plant where she wants to plant for lineups, but if you’re coordinated with your team anyone can plant where viper wants it tbh). Sage is good at planting because she can slow orb wall and plant and her usefulness doesn’t diminish while she’s planting, her util is doing it’s job while sage is planting.Ī Reyna doesn’t have that luxury because a Reyna can’t continue use any util during the full duration of the plant. Whoever should plant depends on usefulness during the plant as well as mobility to get away from the bomb and play postplant. I'm actually grateful that i have duo (my friend) that holding the spike for me, but when I'm doing solo queue it's rlly messed up I'm not saying i hate holding the spike because i can plant depending on the situation. I hate it when I plant the spike and lose that round because a flanker successfully kill us all just because my bots are not working because of range. I mostly clutch a round like these (i also do lineups sometimes) I usually place alarmbot and help my team to secure site then put swarm grenade on the spike then back out to care for flank and to stay alive so i can detonate my swarm grenades. I always ended up dying when i do the plant and set up. Her utility has ranged and she needs time to set up. I don't think Kj should hold the spike when u don't have any other sentinels in ur team unless you have Cypher or Chamber that can care for flanks Excuse my english because I'm not good at it but Put this code in the txt file, the save th. Must pick if you poke into HRE, Stockholm - Lubeck - Denmark is juicy long(er) term goal.ĭiplomatic - ok group for everyone, can't go wrong with this one. Good AE reduction if you want to conquer Europe. Influence would be my first choice - reduce AE and handy to annex vassals - you can save some admin and diplo points by integrating vassals and feeding land. even more so if you pick up aristocratic. You might actually want to develop some states a bit and you get 20% reduction here. Economy is nice group to build tons of building, manufactories and improve russian gold mines and fight inflation. You can conquer half world no problem without this group and mercs are more expensive than ever. Administrative - world conquest group - can't go wrong with it, a bit boring group tho - focus admin points and you don't need to pick it. I like to skip religious, but Russia can really use it well. If you don't like it you can skip it - Russia get claims and you can convert everything with advisor and state edicts. Religious is good - lots of land to convert and good CB - saves lots of diplo power. I'd go with Aristocratic + Offensive - try it and enjoy. Quantity is easier to play when still not great at game. Defensive is a bit harder group - its very good but you need to know to save your troups and chose fights a bit. Defensive is also good first group but you still lack power - morale bonus is huge early to mid-game and you get some -attrition to save manpower. Second military group later - take offensive - great all around group and it stack siege nicely with aristocratic, general pips are awesome and group also adds extra force limits.Īlternatively, you can pick quantity and have tons of troups. Muscovy also has very nice 10% shock dmg bonus thats great for cav. Aristocratic has 33% manpower bonus, so that will help you if you are not careful. Really good first choice is Aristocratic - go ham with tons of cavalry - up to level 20 you will be fine, you will have cossacks bonuses also, Its good idea to get some juice to their armies, you don't want your army to ping-pong of Ottoman troups. Muscovy/Russia - quantity is obvious but its kind of overkill - you will have already bonus manpower and force limit. 10% admin tech cost is also a decent bonus, helping to save even more admin for coring.Īfter those 3, it doesn't really matter what you pick next, but i like to follow up by Offensive for even better generals, a bit more forcelimit, discipline and a great speed boost to your sieges. Especially good for Russia for the reasons you listed. AT for better generals? Whooping 15% morale for more stackwipes? Better and cheaper forts and even more attrition added to the constant risk of Russian winter? Yes, please!ģ) Administrative. Defensive, on the other hand, has some really nice synergy with Russia. form gives you the same 50% manpower and 50% forcelimit). In fact, Quantity is one of the worst possible picks for Muscovy (even if it is a generally awesome ideagroup), as you don't really need THAT much manpower. Muscovy doesn't need Quantity as it gets more than enough of it from forming Russia. Religious is obvious, Influence is to deal with vassals, and the Muscovy's expansion paths have quite a few good vassals to release&keep for a while (Kazakh, Astrakhan, Kiev, etc.)Ģ) Defensive. Constitutional checks and balances strengthen other institutions, like the market and state and local governments, which have the virtues of decentralized social ordering. The Bush administration’s unilateral actions to bailout companies increased moral hazard and thus encouraged inappropriate corporate (and union) behavior for years to come.īut be that as it may, expanded unilateral Presidential authority would generally be in the interest of progressives, who favor centralized authority, and not conservatives or libertarians. I am skeptical of the substance of that claim. Bush’s last two years as lame duck facing a Democratic Congress were his best. The professors try to present their argument as bipartisan, arguing that President George W. That a lame duck President faces few political constraints hardly releases him from constitutional limits on executive power. The federal government has awesome powers, and it can generally act only by gaining the substantial consensus of the people needed to move a bicameral legislature as well the President. The Framers gave the President few unilateral authorities for a reason. This is an anti-constitutional and indeed anti-democratic sentiment. Even absent a persuasive claim of constitutional authority, their notion seems to be that the President can effectively get away with more actions like closing Guantanamo: as a lame duck he will not face effective retribution from Congress or the voters because he is about to get out of Dodge. The professors suggest Obama might use his authority to close Guantanamo Bay, but they offer no constitutional argument to justify his closing a prison against express congressional direction. He is a new and more muscular animal altogether.īut the most important limitation on the unilateral authority of the President is the Constitution and that constraint does not change during the President’s term. But once those are over, the new end-of-term president is not a lame duck anymore. The great constraints on using that authority are re-election and the midterm congressional elections. have unprecedented capacity for unilateral executive authority. The President does have some unilateral powers in foreign affairs and a few unilateral domestic constitutional powers, like the pardon power, as well as his authority to supervise administrative agencies within their own bounds of legal authority.īut the professors seem to have far more in mind. Last Sunday in The New York Times two Yale law professors extolled the unilateral authority of lame duck presidents and urged President Obama to act unilaterally as much as possible. Pure water has a mass of approximately exactly one ounce in imperial fluid ounces. Although it is frequently referred to simply as an “ounce” when the context makes the meaning apparent, such as ounces in a bottle, the fluid ounce is distinct from the ounce as a measure of weight or mass. The imperial fluid ounce is roughly 4.08 percent bigger than the US fluid ounce, which is 1/16 of a US liquid pint and 1/128 of a US liquid gallon, or approximately 29.57 ml. For example, 1/20 of an imperial pint, 1/160 of an imperial gallon, or about 28.41 ml is an imperial fluid ounce. Several definitions have been employed throughout history, but only two are still widely used today: the British Imperial and the US customary fluid ounce.

The company states on its website that the Deluxe+ is "not intended for sleep," but similarly acknowledges that babies often fall asleep in them and parents should always supervise the baby while in the product. Other recalls happen after the CPSC receives several consumer or media reports about a product, and the agency then works with the company to issue the recall.ĭockATot did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In 2021, the Boppy Company issued a recall on roughly 3.3 million of its newborn loungers after they were tied to infant deaths.Ĭompanies by law have to report an unsafe product to the CPSC, which is how many recalls typically begin, the agency notes on its website. The study also cited hazards related to rebreathing of CO2, when babies turn their heads into the padded walls and rebreathe their exhaled air - causing oxygen levels to drop. The products are often not marketed as sleepers, but it’s common for babies to fall asleep while using them.Ī study, conducted by researchers at Boise State University and published in June, highlighted the suffocation hazards of similar infant pillow products due to positional asphyxia, which is when the infant’s body position prevents normal breathing. The American Academy of Pediatrics has long advised caregivers to avoid soft and plush sleep surfaces, such as the DockATot, due to the risk of suffocation.
